I installed linux-oem-20.04 and also turned on focal-proposed updates and did apt-get update && apt-get upgrade.
Though -- this was only enough to get it to recognize the speaker. The pitch/video speed is still wrong, so it's not really quite usable. I should correct something I said earlier: video playback is just too fast across the board, e.g. on Youtube it's playing at maybe double the speed and the pitch is high. However, even when I slow the playback speed down to normal (by selecting 0.5x speed) the pitch is *still* too high. I suspect the wrong driver is being used for the sound card. It is still detecting "00:1f.3 Multimedia audio controller: Intel Corporation Device 02c8" instead of the Realtek card. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1895422 Title: Sound card not detected on Dell Latitude 9510 (Realtek ALC711) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/1895422/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
