That the stanzas between the "### BEGIN AUTOMAGIC KERNELS LIST" and the "### END DEBIAN AUTOMAGIC KERNELS LIST" markers are modified to the will of the installer is something that I expected. But installing the ubuntu alternate 64 bit version removes all stanzas after the "### END ..." marker without making any backup or anything else to preserve them (vor example make them a comment).
