TEST CASE: versions of postinst/postrm hooks prior to lum 14.38 called depmod with the '-A' option which only looks at modules newer then modules.dep. If you have installed or removed packages in just the right order you can create a modules.dep that does not correctly describe the module relationships, especially in the case when there are multiple modules that support the same hardware.
There isn't really a good test case for lum, I found this problem with linux-backports-modules which is far more likely to get removed and installed (and exhibit the problem). However, I wanted to change the use of depmod in Gutsy lum now so that I don't forget to add it to the Hardy version of lum. ** Summary changed: - ipw3945 doesn't work after gutsy update (2.6.22-10) + ipw3945 doesn't work after gutsy update (2.6.22-10), SRU TEST CASE -- ipw3945 doesn't work after gutsy update (2.6.22-10), SRU TEST CASE https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/134193 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
