In my opinion, the issue occurred without me changing or doing anything
as the system has kept updating its linux components and other updates.
The BIOS update I got this time was issued long time ago back in mid
2019. My touchpad problem just popped up early this month. Somehow
something must have been left out during Ubuntu updates. The way you
assigned the issue as "invalid" is rather disappointing and
irresponsible. In my view, looking at the BIOS version and the ongoing
Ubuntu updates, the problem I faced is "valid" otherwise it would have
happened in mid 2019.
