I'm also affected by this it seems (although currently using Manjaro).
Both Kernel 5.7.9 and 5.8rc5 result in the Touchpad randomly deciding not to 
work on boot.
If it works, everything seems fine, though.

On 5.7 Kernel, dmesg is spamming

i2c_designware AMDI0010:00: controller timed out

when the issue appears.

On top of it, sometimes it stops working after suspend, but I suspect
this to be a different issue, as for that loggin out and back in again
(no reboot or shutdown) seemed to fix it.

Frustrating, as the laptop is pretty nice otherwise and I would really
love to use it without Windows.
