I'm also affected by this it seems (although currently using Manjaro). Both Kernel 5.7.9 and 5.8rc5 result in the Touchpad randomly deciding not to work on boot. If it works, everything seems fine, though.
On 5.7 Kernel, dmesg is spamming i2c_designware AMDI0010:00: controller timed out when the issue appears. On top of it, sometimes it stops working after suspend, but I suspect this to be a different issue, as for that loggin out and back in again (no reboot or shutdown) seemed to fix it. Frustrating, as the laptop is pretty nice otherwise and I would really love to use it without Windows. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1878279 Title: Touchpad not recognized on Lenovo Ideapad 5 14IIL05 81YH To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1878279/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
