Hi all. I can confirm this crash bug also; It used to be very easy to crash is feisty, just increase the size of a simple GLX app like glxgears, and bam. Now, in gutsy, its not fixed, but has become harder to trigger the bug. A sure fire way is to do the following:
open Scorched3d click the configuration editor button set the size to something bigish. maybe 1280x800 turn graphics quality all the way up start a single player game choose apoc mode once the game has begun, the big weapons such as doomsday, deaths head etc, will cause X to crash, and ultimately take down the whole system. (note weapons need to be aimed a little smartly to explode.. if they hit something before deploying sub-bombs it wont trigger the bug) I have also been able to reproduce it with 2ndlife fairly regularly. Could those of you who think the bug was fixed for you, please try running scorched3d above and verify it really is not crashing even under high GLX load? I have a Lenovo Thinkpad T61 with the intel 965 video, using gutsy, and the 'intel' driver. Sure cant wait till these video issues are solved :/ -- intel gm965 freezes with 3d applications https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/120834 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
