I'm rejecting this upload at this point in time as it is essentially a major update of the package which does not qualify as a Stable Release Update. It is possible for a package to apply for a microrelease exception and you can see examples of that on the Stable Release Updates wiki page.
I appreciate the need to fix this bug and it seems to me updating the code just what was in version 0.9.23a1 would do that.
