Based on your last comment, I've marked this bug incomplete. I'm unsure how familiar you are with motherboards, but you could have given the motherboard a good visual scan (looking for swollen caps, etc). Either way from your description, and age of the box, it's possibly not worth the effort.
If you discover new information, you can change the status back to "New", after you leave a comment providing this new information that maybe helpful in finding any possible bugs. I wish you luck with the new desktop computer. FYI: On a c2d, I would have run a lighter desktop, and not GNOME found on standard Ubuntu (desktop). It won't have had any differences with the install, but I suspect it'd been more fun to use (based on a c2d-6600 which isn't unlike your c2d-6400) ** Changed in: ubiquity (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1888173 Title: I'm not really sure, I was trying to renstall my system To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/1888173/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
