Things I also tried: * Disabled onboard LAN (r8169) and used a PCIe---(adapter)--->PCI--->Linksys 10/100 NIC (tulip driver). * Disabled all CPU/Chipset features in the BIOS, all APCI/power savings, sleep states, turbo, etc.
