I've just found out there is no need to compile kernel myself in Ubuntu,
because this distro provides upstream kernel packages according to this:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/MainlineBuilds

So... I'm just downloading from here:
https://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v5.8-rc4/

Namely these three:
-
https://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v5.8-rc4/amd64/linux-headers-5.8.0-050800-generic_5.8.0-050800.202007052030_amd64.deb
-
https://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v5.8-rc4/amd64/linux-image-unsigned-5.8.0-050800-generic_5.8.0-050800.202007052030_amd64.deb
-
https://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v5.8-rc4/amd64/linux-modules-5.8.0-050800-generic_5.8.0-050800.202007052030_amd64.deb

Two questions:
1) Is that three .deb s enough or do I need also _all?
(
https://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v5.8-rc4/amd64/linux-headers-5.8.0-050800_5.8.0-050800.202007052030_all.deb
 )

2) Is this procedure OK and valid for your purposes?

Thanks!
