Adding "mem_sleep_default=deep" to the grub file and running 'sudo update-grub' didn't do the trick.
In general, is a Lenovo laptop a better option when one wants to run Ubuntu on the latest AMD (4700u)? It is strange HP only supports s2idle when that consumes more power. Note Hibernate also does not work.
