I've now tested your backport of the patches and I can confirm that it is indeed working on my machine (Dell Latitude 7275). FYI, I was also pointed out that there is an on-going discussion about suspend failures following these patches, details here: https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=207629 but I'm not seeing this issue in my case.
