I've had the same issue... RDP from windows 10. After authentication, I got the error message "Could not acquire name on session bus".
What worked for me: Searching for a clue I found the following article: https://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?t=272329 Reading through I discovered that I do not have an .xsession file in my home directory. I created one using echo env -u SESSION_MANAGER -u DBUS_SESSION_BUS_ADDRESS mate- session>~/.xsession and then it started to work. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1876067 Title: Remote desktop does not work To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xrdp/+bug/1876067/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
