Public bug reported: I'm using
dhcp4: yes dhcp4-overrides: use-dns: false dhcp6: no nameservers: addresses: addresses: [1.1.1.1,8.8.8.8,1.0.0.1,8.8.4.4] but after applying i get this dns 200.42.xxx.xxx 200.49.xxx.xxx 1.1.1.1 8.8.8.8 the first 2 are provided by the router DNS. Why? Also notice that Ubuntu ignores the use-dns: false graphically and check the option as automatic. If I turn OFF that, the DNS work just as intended. https://imgur.com/M710b2X This is what the actual DNS are set https://imgur.com/a4pjKqr ** Affects: netplan Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: 20.04 dhcp ubuntu use-dns ** Also affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags added: dhcp ** Tags removed: dhcp ** Tags added: use-dns ** Tags added: dhcp ** Tags added: 20.04 ubuntu ** Description changed: I'm using - dhcp4: yes - dhcp4-overrides: - use-dns: false - dhcp6: no - nameservers: - addresses: addresses: [1.1.1.1,8.8.8.8,1.0.0.1,8.8.4.4] - + dhcp4: yes + dhcp4-overrides: + use-dns: false + dhcp6: no + nameservers: + addresses: addresses: [1.1.1.1,8.8.8.8,1.0.0.1,8.8.4.4] but after applying i get this dns 200.42.xxx.xxx 200.49.xxx.xxx 1.1.1.1 8.8.8.8 the first 2 are provided by the router DNS.
