Public bug reported:
1. Install lmodern package. The package says "They
are also registered with defoma, which makes them available to other
applications such as Ghostscript and Fontconfig. Finally, they are
made available to the core X11 fonts system, which makes it possible
to use them in any X application."
2. Browse to fonts://System and choose LM Typewriter 10. Viewing it
shows only the small cap variant.
3. Some applications (such as KWrite), when LM Typewriter 10 is chosen,
correctly use the version with caps and lower case characters.
4. Other applications (such as OpenOffice.org and the font browser),
when LM Typewriter 10 is chosen, incorrectly use the version with caps
and small caps.
5. In the applications that use the small cap version, switching to bold
causes the font to switch to the bold variant with caps and lower case
characters.
