Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics
I have a Dell Inspiron 8600. It has both a nub mouse with buttons (nub between g, h, and b keys, 2 buttons below space bar) as well as a touchpad (synaptics touchpad on the handrest, with its own to buttons below it). I can smoothly drag around windows using alt + nub left_click + nub navigation, OR alt + touchpad left click + touchpad navigation. However, I generally have grown to use the nub for navigation, but then use the touchpad's buttons. Using the nub mouse + touchpad buttons fails miserably. It's like as soon as I drag the mouse, it stops. Randomly, it works, randomly it works for a little while and then stops. Most of the time, it just stops being a dragging action as soon as I start moving. ** Affects: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- touchpad + nubmouse combo fails to combine https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/174287 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
