Hi and thanks for taking the time to report a bug. I don't think
check_ide_smart is supposed to have the suid bit set. I installed a
couple of older versions of the package:
monitoring-plugins-basic 2.2-3ubuntu2 on Bionic
monitoring-plugins-basic 2.1.2-2ubuntu2 on Xenial
and the suid bit is never set. Could you please explain more in detail:
1. What problem exactly are you facing?
2. Which older version of the package did work for you, if any?
I'm setting the status of this report to Incomplete for the moment.
Please set it back to New after commenting back and we'll look at it
again. Thanks!
