I'd just like to confirm, I have the same bug, using the same motherboard (K8S-MX).
I can get the AGP aperture to identify correctly, and allow direct rendering, by renaming (i.e. disabling) sis-agp.ko, but that breaks my power management. Sybille, if I rename sis-agp.ko back to its original name and apply your patch, will that fix my power management without breaking direct rendering again?
