Thanks for following this up. It was a problem initially in a loop
mounted feisty install, but I moved to a real install, and am now full
time on gutsy on a new machine. There were definitely problems with the
loop mounted installs, generally found after hard reboots and resuming,
but there have been no stability problems with the hard disk
installations.
