Hey Chris, of course. I plugged in the USB Dongle CSR 4.0, attempted to scan my BT device, unfortunately my usb device was not recognized. I also wanted to use Wireshark with this dongle, but it was not detected as well.
I am able to use this device on Ubuntu 18.04 and scan my BT devices. here is a description of ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- dmesg | grep -Ei 'blue|firm' [ 0.134829] Spectre V2 : Enabling Restricted Speculation for firmware calls [ 0.190638] ACPI: [Firmware Bug]: BIOS _OSI(Linux) query ignored [ 3.176241] psmouse serio4: elantech: assuming hardware version 4 (with firmware version 0x361f02) [ 14.828855] iwlwifi 0000:02:00.0: loaded firmware version 18.168.6.1 op_mode iwldvm [ 14.832704] Bluetooth: Core ver 2.22 [ 14.832723] Bluetooth: HCI device and connection manager initialized [ 14.832727] Bluetooth: HCI socket layer initialized [ 14.832729] Bluetooth: L2CAP socket layer initialized [ 14.832732] Bluetooth: SCO socket layer initialized [ 18.841575] Bluetooth: BNEP (Ethernet Emulation) ver 1.3 [ 18.841577] Bluetooth: BNEP filters: protocol multicast [ 18.841582] Bluetooth: BNEP socket layer initialized [ 21.640029] Bluetooth: RFCOMM TTY layer initialized [ 21.640039] Bluetooth: RFCOMM socket layer initialized [ 21.640045] Bluetooth: RFCOMM ver 1.11 [ 47.954359] Bluetooth: hci0: command 0x0c14 tx timeout [ 231.120897] Bluetooth: hci0: command 0x0c14 tx timeout [ 6942.437038] Bluetooth: hci0: command 0x0c14 tx timeout ----------------------------------------------------------- $ sudo rfkill list 0: hci0: Bluetooth Soft blocked: no Hard blocked: no 1: hci1: Bluetooth Soft blocked: no Hard blocked: no 2: phy0: Wireless LAN Soft blocked: no Hard blocked: no -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1879124 Title: 0a12:0001 Cambridge Silicon Radio, Ltd Bluetooth Dongle (HCI mode) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1879124/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
