Public bug reported: When running dconf-editor, it is unable to save settings, two examples:
1. When trying to set org.blueman.transfer shared-path to a different value, as soon as the "Apply" button is clicked, the value reverts to the default (an empty string). 2. When running dconf-editor for the first time, unticking the "Show this dialog next time." checkbox in the pop-up window has no effect - after closing dconf-editor and reopening it, the pop-up returns. related blueman-services issue: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/blueman/+bug/1877131 https://github.com/blueman-project/blueman/issues/1248 When attempting to use the command "gsettings set" to change the value associated with blueman, it results in the error: "The key is not writable" ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 20.04 Package: dconf-editor 3.36.0-1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 5.4.0-29.33-generic 5.4.30 Uname: Linux 5.4.0-29-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia_modeset nvidia ApportVersion: 2.20.11-0ubuntu27 Architecture: amd64 CasperMD5CheckResult: skip CurrentDesktop: XFCE Date: Fri May 15 17:55:00 2020 InstallationDate: Installed on 2016-01-24 (1572 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 15.10 "Wily Werewolf" - Release amd64 (20151021) SourcePackage: dconf-editor UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to focal on 2020-05-08 (7 days ago) ** Affects: dconf-editor (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug focal -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1878966 Title: dconf-editor does not save settings To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/dconf-editor/+bug/1878966/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
