Public bug reported: My it8718 chip measures voltages, fan RPM and temperatures. I want to monitor what sensors.conf calls temp1, labelled "NBr Temp". I can set that up via the GUI and it works. But when I log out and back in or restart the Xfce panel, that shows +3.3V instead, which is in2 in sensors.conf. Furthermore, the label for in2 becomes "NBr Temp". Initially, before I tried to monitor "NBr Temp", that label was correctly displayed.
This started working properly after I built xfce-sensors-plugin 1.3.92 from https://git.xfce.org/panel-plugins/xfce4-sensors-plugin/ This may be the bug, now fixed over there: https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=14398 ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 20.04 Package: xfce4-sensors-plugin 1.3.0-2build1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 5.4.0-29.33-generic 5.4.30 Uname: Linux 5.4.0-29-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia_modeset nvidia ApportVersion: 2.20.11-0ubuntu27 Architecture: amd64 CasperMD5CheckResult: skip CurrentDesktop: XFCE Date: Sun May 10 11:23:05 2020 SourcePackage: xfce4-sensors-plugin UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to focal on 2020-04-06 (34 days ago) ** Affects: xfce4-sensors-plugin (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug focal -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1877873 Title: Temperature becomes voltage after restarting panel To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xfce4-sensors-plugin/+bug/1877873/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
