Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: lvm2

System information:

uname -a
Linux tardbook 2.6.22-14-generic #1 SMP Sun Oct 14 23:05:12 GMT 2007 i686
GNU/Linux

(Ubuntu Gutsy with all updates.)

Package version:

dpkg -l | grep lvm
ii lvm2 2.02.26-1ubuntu4
         The Linux Logical Volume Manager

To reproduce the error:

lvresize --verbose --resizefs --size +1036 /dev/usb_vg/testvol1
    Finding volume group usb_vg
    Executing: fsadm check /dev/usb_vg/testvol1 (null)
fsadm: execlp failed: No such file or directory
  fsadm failed: 2

Workaround:

Remove the --resizefs parameter and as a second step use resize2fs or
ext2prepare and ext2fsresize to modify the file system.

** Affects: lvm2 (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
