On all versions of Ubuntu I have run the battery applet shows up but
doesn't detect the battery. On going to kcontrol it tells me that
certain modules are not loaded. On listing modules the battery module
is shown as loaded. Also recompiling the kernel with these modules
installed as default doesn't seem to help.
