Hello Peter and thanks for this bug report. Could you please copy and
paste the output of the following command:

  dpkg -l 'samba*'

ran on the affected system? I can't reproduce the problem, so I'd like
to see which arch you are using and the exact versions of all the samba*
packages.

Does it crash if you just run 'testparm' manually?
