This is the second time I've seen this issue reported against XFCE
recently but I can't find the other report right now. Please try:

1. Log out.

2. Ctrl+Alt+F4 and log into the text console.

3. rm -rf .config/pulse

4. Ctrl+Alt+F1 and log in again.

Has that fixed it?
