>From what i can see in i3, it sets _NET_DESKTOP_NAMES on root to a list of the current names for the desktops. As workspaces are dynamic, the position in that list is not static. Currently my list has 4 elements: "3", "4:web", "1", and "5:mail". I guess using that list instead of the raw number would fix the problem in some ways?
