Jumping in on this bug as well. Installed the daily from April 18, 2020 on a Lenovo Thinkpad T440s and had the same issue.
After installing I had no grub boot menu upon rebooting. I edited /etc/default/grub and changed a few lines but that didn't seem to work. I also tried to reinstall grub but that didn't work either.
