However they may not be able to help you, as your description reads as
more hardware related (did you run memtest, do a cap-check of your
motherboard or other steps etc), and thus other hardware support sites
maybe more on-topic.

If it doesn't get as far as loading grub (the boot loader) as indicated
in your description, then the kernel hasn't been loaded & kernel
upgrades aren't an issue (as they aren't loaded being loaded by grub),
ie. you have support issues).
