I have an Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700K CPU @ 4.00GHz, with 5.3.0-46-generic #38~18.04.1-Ubuntu. My HDMI and Display Port audio were not working. Putting "options snd-hda-intel dmic_detect=0" in the /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf and rebooting solved the problem.
