The build ID of snapd from the deb is: 8129f62e70d6d67812fd8d615a202ce66c7038c4 The build ID of snapd from the core snap revision 8937 is: 799a88b406b245795da51b18f6224003020c6fb9
As we can see in the log in comment #5, the disk format was written by snapd after re-exec but the measurement was performed by snap that runs before reexec (the core snap must have been unmounted already). As such we have a perpetual mismatch. In this state the system cannot start snapd.socket or snapd.service as systemd is shutting down (nor should it). We need to detect this case (shutdown, core/snapd unmounted) and ignore system key mismatch. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1871652 Title: snap run hangs on system-key mismatch due to reexec and shutdown To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/snapd/+bug/1871652/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
