I also wish to update the bug. Whenever any sound needs to start playing, the screen goes blank. Even when I play a video I paused a few moments earlier on YouTube, the screen goes blank, and then it comes back on, with the audio and video both working perfectly.
It even happened in Vi when I pressed [esc] + [:] too quickly for it to register.
