Ah yes, you could try the process described in
https://discourse.ubuntu.com/t/how-to-test-the-latest-version-of-
subiquity/12428, that would actually be very useful.

FWIW, fix committed does not mean it will be on the next ISO, that's
more what fix released means in this project. But we've not been very
disciplined about keeping bug statuses up to date, I'm afraid.
