i am confused. is "intel" or "i810" the newer driver? the web page you
indicate talks only of the i810.

which driver is recommended to support sleep mode?

should i understand your advice that i use "intel" and then
set the screen orientation with a command during startup? (where is the best
place to insert such a command? and why is the
system -> preferences - screen resolution setting for orientation not working?

(i have used xrandr for switching between different orientations in a
.sh file. works fine with both drivers, but i have not used it for clone
yet).

thanks
andrew
