Hi, I am seeing this as well I think.
At certain points in the play the game would lose full screen for a few seconds, and in this time it would be seen as a normal window on the desktop. It is still sort of playable there. After a few seconds the game would be fullscreen again as normal (though once when I tried to scroll right it would scroll "off" the game and show me my magnified desktop). I didn't try the suggested workaround. I have similar specs to the reporter (with Nvidia), but I am on i386.
