Hi Yves, Thanks for the response. I'll try to build that against the Gutsy kernel this weekend and if successful it might be worth trying to push it into gutsy-updates. This sensitivity to odd length requests must be a regression as I don't remember previous kernels responding this way and I've had a stack of 1542 cards running happily for years.
