The issue is probably: [ 8.309] (WW) intel(0): Unknown chipset [ 8.374] (II) GLX: Initialized DRISWRAST GL provider for screen 0
But I wouldn't blame the intel driver. It's old and may not ever support newer Intel GPUs. You should instead use the newer "modesetting" driver. If you have a custom Xorg config file then replace "intel" with "modesetting". If you don't, then just uninstall the Intel driver: sudo apt remove xserver-xorg-video-intel-hwe-16.04 and then Xorg should automatically use the correct driver "modesetting". -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1864008 Title: No hardware acceleration on i5-9600K (UHD630) with HWE kernel and Xorg To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/1864008/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
