Hello,
I'm observing the following bug on a Thinkpad X1 Extreme G2 running
Kubuntu 19.10 but I don't think its related to KDE. The dock itself is
working (all ports in nVidia mode)
The laptop is docked to a Lenovo Thunderbolt 3 Workstation Dock G1.
First tried to edit etc/systemd/logind.conf, the following lines were
originally commented out.
HandleLidSwitch=suspend
HandleLidSwitchExternalPower=suspend
HandleLidSwitchDocked=ignore
But that did not change anything.
The dock state is not working. It's using the ExternalPower state. And
that causes Ubuntu to go to sleep instead of shutting down when clicking
"shut down" in the Kmenu.
If the lid is opened, the laptop shuts down properly. If
HandleLidSwitchExternalPower is set to ignore, it also works correct but
then I'm unable to send it to sleep if nopt docked but external powered.
This could also considered as security breach, as a LUKS encrypted
partition is not locked then but the user think it's locked.
Expected to happen:
Laptop should shutdown as it does when entering shutdown -h now
What actually happens
Laptop is going to sleep and can be wakes up. LUKSD partition stays unlocked.
Operating System: Kubuntu 19.10
KDE Plasma Version: 5.16.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.62.0
Qt Version: 5.12.4
Kernel Version: 5.3.0-24-generic
OS Type: 64-bit
Processors: 12 × Intel® Core™ i7-9750H CPU @ 2.60GHz
Memory: 31,1 GiB
