I'm affected by this bug. My laptop is a relatively new Lenovo X1. OS is Ubuntu 19.10, kernel is 5.3.0-29-generic (both with all upgrades), all available firmware upgrades are installed (using fwupdmgr).
Occasionally my touchpad stops working after resume from sleep. I have to boot the laptop, and 100% of the times when I boot the laptop without power adapter plugged in, the problem reappears and the touchpad is not usable after reboot. The following error messages appears in the logfile: Feb 1 10:05:52 diamond kernel: [ 23.628092] i2c_designware i2c_designware.1: controller timed out Feb 1 10:05:53 diamond kernel: [ 24.651920] i2c_designware i2c_designware.1: controller timed out Feb 1 10:05:54 diamond kernel: [ 25.675991] i2c_designware i2c_designware.1: controller timed out One message per second - which by itself is too much, because it generates I/O activity all the time. If I plugin the power cord and reboot, the touchpad is working again. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1651635 Title: XPS 13 9360 trackpad locks into scroll mode To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/dell-sputnik/+bug/1651635/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
