I am a programmer. I'm able to review them and will get to them. I'm curious if this is the best solution. If it means just revising the poppler patches and that's the best path for 80% of the functionality then I'm good to go.
Also, another solution might just be a warning to the user the the annotations MAY not be viewable in all PDF editors and that we don't control those. Then show them the warning once. My concern is that some of these bugs seem like they won't be readily resolved but a warning might be the best approach here.
