For everything which is ASCII, it is allowed (and preferred) to write
the ASCII directly and not the code points.

I.e. it is better (because more readable) to write "-" instead of
"<U002D>".

I hope in future this will be allowed also for non-ASCII characters,
at the moment it is only allowed for ASCII.
