Hi Bill,

Thanks for your report. It is not clear to me why you say that you
"expected it to install the correct version of MaaS for my OS version".
The MAAS version on Eoan is 2.6.0-7802-g59416a869-0ubuntu1 and that's
exactly the one that you've got installed, right?

The install process encountered a problem while starting squid:

squid[17270]: 2019/12/04 16:50:48| Finished. Wrote 0 entries.
squid[17270]: 2019/12/04 16:50:48| Took 0.00 seconds ( 0.00 entries/sec).
squid[17270]: 2019/12/04 16:50:48| FATAL: Ipc::Mem::Segment::create failed to
shm_open(/squid-cf__metadata.shm): (17) File exists
squid[17270]: 2019/12/04 16:50:48| Squid Cache (Version 4.8): Terminated
abnormally.
squid[17270]: 2019/12/04 16:50:48| Removing PID file (/var/run/squid.pid)

It seems the /squid-cf__queues.shm file already exists and Squid has not
permission to overwrite it. Could it be that the system has been left
dirty by a previous (possibly non-functional) installation of squid?

I tried a plan `apt install maas` from a clean Eoan system and squid got
installed without errors.

While waiting for more information I'm marking this report as
Incomplete. Please change its status back to New after replying and
we'll look at it again. Thanks!
