Two things: 1. The problem is not in gedit, it's in SAMBA (smbfs) over CIFS 2. Priority Low? There is no way to have an hybrid network with this problem. A windows 2003 as server with CIFS is more than usual in many companies nowadays. It's a very big syncronization/data loss problem for desktop users, administrators and automatic applications/scripts.
A fix is a must IMO. -- gedit fails to save files over smbfs/cifs https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/34813 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
