Well, this is embarrassing. I cannot reproduce this issue. I had saved a copy of steam.desktop elsewhere, so I copied it back to the desktop (`cp ~/temp/steam.desktop ~/Desktop/`), and attempted to delete it again from the desktop. I got the same beep sound, and the file was not deleted*. Opening up a Nautilus window, and navigating to the ~/Desktop folder, I was able to delete the file without issue.
Attaching the last few lines of `journalctl -b 0`. * Should I be able to hit the delete key on a file on the desktop and expect it to delete the file? ** Attachment added: "journalctl_b_0.log" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1852890/+attachment/5306330/+files/journalctl_b_0.log -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1852890 Title: Nautilus freezes when trying to delete an item from the desktop To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1852890/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
