You were almost certainly presented with the question of what you wanted your username and password to be. I am closing this bug report, however if you are sure that you were not asked for a username and password and can reproduce it, please reopen the bug report.
If you are comfortable with running through the installer again you'll have the opportunity to enter the username and password you want. If you'd rather not go through the install again, you can boot into recovery mode (hit escape when prompted to at boot) and type `grep 1000: /etc/passwd | cut -d: -f1` to get the username, then `passwd whatever_the_username_was` to set a new password for it.
