Update
Since I have updated Ubuntu from its raw 7.10 status I am no longer able to get
Ctrl D to work. Since Windows XP works and there is no point continuing with
this exercise until somebody comes up with a fix. I cannot get a NVidia 8800gt
to work either so was using a 7600 for this exercise. I already have Ubuntu
7.10 running on two other boxes one an AMD5200 on a K9 Neo which has a Maxtor
500g SATA drive and a PATA dvd. Why that box works (7600 Nvidia) and this
doesn't is outside my skill level. The weird thing is that the AMD box needs
no changes to anything including the live CD in order to function so what is
unique on the IP35?
