Public bug reported: Starting with Ubuntu Eoan, chromium-browser is shipped as snap package, instead of a regular .deb package.
This is wasteful, since all dependencies have to duplicated. It also breaks apt, which no longer controls all the software on my system. I now have to deal with two tools to keep everything up-to-date. Please restrict snap packages to big, complimentary packages, which chromium definitely isn't. ** Affects: chromium (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1851011 Title: Chromium is now a snap package To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/chromium/+bug/1851011/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
