Confirmed the problem on Gutsy / Kubuntu. It seems like Angelic579 is on the mark. It seems a bit painful for Kubuntu to be having Klipper and Glipper run at the same time, but it does fix things for me. The problem was critical for me since I'm using the Eclipse java development platform a lot. Eclipse uses the SWT framework that binds to GTK. GTK seems to be the library at fault here. This CTRL-C/CTRL-V problem is indescribably annoying when you are developing.
