I have seen exactly the same problem (and many other nedit problems since moving to Gutsy).
The Fiesty version of nedit was linked against lesstif, while the Gutsy version is linked against OpenMotif. As an experiment I grabbed the sources (apt-get source nedit), and edited the debian/control file to make nedit depend on lesstof2-dev rather than libmotif and then build and installed the resulting package. This new package is an order of magnitude more stable than the binary in the Gutsy repository. -- [apport] nedit crashed with SIGSEGV in XtAppNextEvent() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/96536 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
