Public bug reported: If darkttable is running fullscreen (F11) on Ubuntu 18.04 with my Thinpad T480s, there are annoying flashes of the screen in fullscreen mode on iteraction.
For example: If I adjust the base color curve while on fullscreen, the start and end of the mouse dragging the curves control points often result in brief (almost a single frame) white screen flash. This is extremely disturbing when working in dim environments suitable for image processing. The bug does not seem to occur if darktable is run in windowed mode.
